HADLOW DOWN EMERGENCY PLAN QUESTIONNAIRE

Our Parish Council has published the following letter covering the distribution of a new questionnaire which the PC hopes will be filled in and returned by all members of the community.

Dear Householder

Most people in the village will be aware of the existence of the Hadlow Down Emergency Plan.
Over 18 months ago everyone in the village was sent a questionnaire asking for voluntary information on help and resources that could be useful in the event of an emergency. The response was sadly pretty poor with just over 20 households responding out of over 300.
Although the water outage last week was a relatively minor emergency, members of the Parish Council with the help of several much appreciated volunteers still went to great lengths to obtain and distribute drinkable water to the whole parish.

This task was made harder by the lack of information regarding numbers and location of information regarding numbers and location of needs, skills and resources.

With this in mind, I am circulating the questionnaire again. We need to keep our information up to date and would ask that everyone in the village returns it, even if you filled in the previous one.  Please also check with your neighbours that they complete one especially if they are possibly vulnerable.

Filling in the form will only take a few minutes of your time so please download from the Village website www.hadlowdown.com complete and return it as quickly as possible.  If you are having any trouble downloading it, there will be hard copies at the Parish Assembly in April as well as copies coming out with the April Parish Magazine.

Hard copies should be placed in an envelope, sealed, and can be left for collection at St Mark’s School or mailed (with a stamp on) to the Parish Council Clerk Miss Helen Johnson, 73, Swaines Way, Heathfield, East Sussex, TN21 0AN or the Chairman of the Emergency Plan Team: Iain Turner, Five Chimneys Oast, Curtains Hill, Hadlow Down, TN22 4DU.  The form can be scanned and e-mailed as an attachment to hadlowdownpc@btconnect.com if this is more convenient.

ALL INFORMATION GIVEN IS SUBJECT TO DATA PROTECTION LAW AND WILL BE TREATED WITH THE STRICTEST CONFIDENCE AND USED ONLY IN CONNECTION WITH THE EMERGENCY PLAN.
