Village Hall

Tucked away at the bottom of Hut Lane, and with a wonderful view over acres of unspoilt land, the Village Hall is the main communal meeting place for the village. It is a regular venue for societies as diverse as the Bowls Club, the Variety Club, the Horticultural Society etc.

The building is also the venue for more serious events such as regular meetings of the Parish Council and other committees. Village organisations use the hall for their AGM’s and the annual Village Assembly also meets here every Spring. The Hall can be hired at very competitive rates for private functions.

Parking

Parking for Hall users is permitted around the perimeter of the building. Please make full use of the rear of the Hall by double-parking if your party is leaving at one time. Or using the rear for the organisers of the event, who will be the last to leave. Parking is permitted in the adjacent lanes, but please ensure cars are parked sensibly, not obstructing any neighbouring driveways and that there is sufficient access for emergency vehicles. The Hire Agreement you will have signed does ask you to appoint a person to be responsible for parking. It will be helpful to our very patient neighbours and not spoil the enjoyment of your own guests if they are called out to move their vehicles.

Electricity

You will find meters in the lobby for the electric sockets and heating, these take £1 coins. The lighting is not on a meter so will not switch off. If for any reason, the power trips. The trip switches are above the front door and a master switch can be found in the top left hand corner of the meter cupboards.
